Using Edmodo to Extend the Classroom Conversation
Nance Adler
Come learn how to create a lively learning experience for your students. Using Edmodo - “Facebook for the Classroom”- is a great way to engage your students in a familiar setting while allowing them to access their knowledge in new ways. We will share how to use this tool in your classroom and show examples of how two different classes of students have used Edmodo to enrich their learning and achieve their academic goals. See how students have given advice to Biblical kings and peruse the newsfeed of famous Jews from the Golden Age of Spain and Middle Ages Europe. You will learn how to set up a class and get your students online. Additionally, we will open the floor up for a dialogue to brainstorm meaningful applications for using Edmodo in your classroom.
